The Sparrow

Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
(Charles H. Gabriel, 1905)

Peter found this little guy laying on the ground in the barn.
He must have fallen out of his nest.
He brought him to the house to show the kids and Levi
was particularly enamored with him.

Aren't two sparrows sold for only a penny?
But your Father knows when any one of them falls to the ground.
Even the hairs on your head are counted.
~Matthew 10:29,30~

Pete was able to return the baby sparrow to his home.
Another reminder that God has our wee little babe
safely in the palm of His hand.
I wonder how many hairs (if any) will be on Baby K's head? :)

What are you worried about right now?
"Let not your heart be troubled”
"Rest on His goodness"
And although you may only see one step ahead of you at a time,
know that you are not on the journey alone.

It sounds like we are going to London this coming Tuesday
for a full day of appointments at the Fetal Development Clinic.
Thank you for covering us with your prayers.

How can we pray for you right now?

Sidenote: For those of you who are thinking that the mama bird
will reject her little darling because Peter picked him up and covered
him with human scent - it's not actually true.Just an old wives' tale.
A good one to keep your little kids from mauling young chicks
they find on the ground, but the reality is a baby bird will have
a 100% better chance of survival if picked up and returned to their nest.
