Wedding fun

This month we had two big weddings:

My girlfriend Renee was married on the 5th
and I was the Maid of Honour and Gracie Jo was the Flower Girl.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding
and we had lots of fun late into the night.

Greg and Alex's wedding was on the 19th.
Peter was the Best Man, Gracie Jo one of the Flower Girls,
and Silas and Levi were Ring Bearers.
My doctor had 'ordered' me to not to attend - they
didn't want me travelling and felt I should be staying close
to home, and the hospital...
but here we are a week later and still no baby.
Boy, am I glad I went!!!
Besides the fact that I'm still pregnant, it was so
special to celebrate with all our family and friends.
It was a wonderful, beautiful day and so special
to rejoice together in God's goodness to Greg and Alex.

Getting ready for show time.

What a handsome lad!

A hymn of grateful praise...

...so that people may see and know,
may consider and understand,
that the hand of the LORD has done this,
that the Holy One of Israel has created it.
~Isaiah 41:20

For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies;
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the wonder of each hour,
Of the day and of the night;
Hill and vale and tree and flow'r,
Sun and moon, and stars of light;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of ear and eye,
For the heart and mind's delight;
For the mystic harmony,
Linking sense to sound and sight;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child;
Friends on Earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For Thyself, best Gift Divine,
To the world so freely given,
For that great, great love of Thine,
Peace on earth and joy in heaven.
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For a beautiful drive on a glorious autumn afternoon.
We give thanks.

What is filling your heart with grateful praise?

The Colours of the Season

We were loving the sweet tastes of the summer...

And then suddenly, one morning there was a crispness in the air.

The smell of the earth changed.

And a quiet shift has taken place in our days.

We store up the bounty.

And continue to wait in hope.

"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory."
~Isaiah 6:3~

We're tucking in with great anticipation, awaiting the arrival of Baby K.
After a long, but very positive appointment with the specialist in London,
we were given the go ahead to deliver in Palmerston. Thank you Lord!
Baby is growing by leaps and bounds and, according to Doc, after
seeing the ultrasound and the size of the baby and amount of
amniotic fluid,"You would never know there was only one kidney."
God is so good.

And so now we fill our days with preparation:
Bounty from the garden for the winter months ahead.
Sending Gracie Jo to SK two days a week.
Crafting and baking for a season of Thanksgiving.
A special visit from my newly engaged brother and his fiance.
And a sweet little babe to meet...

"We wait in hope for the Lord;
He is our help and shield.
In Him our hearts REJOICE,
for we trust in His Holy name."
~Psalm 33:20,21~

What are you thankful for in this season of abundance?
