A Teddy Bears' Picnic

The kids were feeling a little sore that they weren't getting the advantage of all the snow/storm/fog days that their friends were having last week. A little extra incentive was needed to get us through to the end of the week (for kids AND mama) and what better way to cheer everyone up than baking some cookies, grabbing our favorite teddies and serving up some Sunshine tea. A lovely little picnic was just what we needed to put smiles back on our faces...and finish up those last multiplication tables! Thanks, Tante Tina and Uncle Ken, for picking out the best buddies for everyone. We love you so much! Maybe you want to come over for a picnic sometime soon? xo

  1. The bunny with the floppy ears is just like my Sampson bunny! Sampson goes with me every time I have to be admitted to the hospital and he snuggles in bed with me when I'm sick. Did she come from Build a bear?

    1. Ken and Christina build each of the kids a teddy for their first Christmas. It's been such a special tradition and so cool to see how the personalities and names of the bears have totally gone with the kids, even though they were babies when they were made. The bunny is Katie's and her name is "Leila", Hebrew for 'dark beauty'. Was your bunny a gift or built specially by you? It's definitely the most snuggly out of the bunch :)

    1. Thanks, Michelle! My mother-in-law found the tea set at a thrift store (she always finds the most a-ma-zing things!) and Jude's mug is from a Beatrix Potter set that his great-aunt got him. It was such a cute afternoon :)
